RoosterTail Designs scarves and wraps showcase the creative fabric collage technique of Deb Dworman. Each RoosterTail is a delightful motif of silks, velvets, synthetics, and--their signature feature--vintage Japanese kimono, Obi, and Happi Coat. All scarves are handsewn, with equal emphasis placed on the quality of the craft in harmony with the spirit of the design.

Deb Dworman designs in her RoosterTails studio in Oak Park, IL, where she also resides with her family. Deb began RoosterTails in 1996, inspired by the prospect of combining vintage fabric pieces into beautiful and unique wearable art. With her discovery of the exciting possibilities of Japanese kimono color, textures, and graphics, RoosterTails took a new and exciting direction.

In addition to the creation of her scarf and wrap collections, Deb works with individual customers creating custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. Applying her signature style, she has created surprising sofa throws, pillows, table runners, and wall hangings to match customers’ interior design plans. She also has created custom men and women’s shirts, blouses, jackets, and bags.

When she is not in her studio, Deb serves as a vice-president at a leading Chicago financial institution where she manages e-commerce and portal development projects.
